New Year’s Day Mochi Rice Cake Pounding
In celebration of the New Year, four young people perform the Kodakara Mochitsuki-mai Dance, in which they expertly pound mochi rice cakes with a mallet. The mochi rice cakes which bring good luck are served to visitors.
